In order to keep up the good environment of teaching - learning in both campuses, there are some academic rules that have to be known and obey as follows :

 


To first year student (new student), there are package system for first and second semester with weight of study that being decided for each of study program. In second year, third semester and after, student can take subject based on achievement index (in bahasa= Indeks Prestasi (IP)) with credit semester system distribution composition as follows:

  1. Re-registration activities begin before lecturing activities based on academic calendar.
  2. Every student have to be re-registered through academic computerize system in computer labs.
  3. Students who able to follow re-registration are student who have done lecturing activities last semester and owned Study Result Card (in bahasa= Kartu Hasil Studi (KHS)) from academic.
  4. Students who follow lecturing activities but for some reason not able to follow final examination, can be re-registered with weight of study of 12 CSS (12 SKS).
  5. Students who took academic time off or being non active less than 2 semesters, have to arrange to be active again, 1 week before re-registration begin. (Notification letter of being active again have to include at registration time).
  6. Students who have reached its study time (before 2 years), have to arrange study continuation permission before doing re-registration

 

 

After being the student of STIE/STMIK Jayakarta officially (new student) and have re-registered (already have plan study card (PCS) or in bahasa kartu rencana studi - KRS), student will follow lecturing activities with rules as follows:

1.   Morning Lecture/ Study :
  • Monday - Thursday: time of study begin at 08.00 – 14.00
  • Friday : time of study begin at 08.00 – 15.00
  • Saturday : time of study begin at 08.00 – 14.00
2.   Evening Lecture/ Study :
  • Monday - Thursday: time of study begin at 17.00 – 21.15
  • Saturday : time of study begin at 15.00 – 19.15
3.  Lecture's meeting for one subject in 1 (one) semester is 14 times, added with mid-term exam and final       exam/main exam, so total meeting per semester is 16 meetings.
4.   In lecturing time, students have to follow the rules that being stated by campus with statement of punishment to       student who do not follow the rules. The punishment can be administrative to being expelled from college.
5.  Academic time off is freedom of student from obligation in following all academic activities in one to two       semester that being stated by Dean Decision Letter.
6.   Student who can not follow lecturing activities in time for some reason, have to take academic time off.
7.   Academic on leave proposal should be given to Dean through Dean First Assistant of Academic Dept, after it       has being approved and continue with academic on leave's payment that divided into Re-sit Registration fee       and Basic Development Intuition Fee or ‘BPP’ of 20% per-semester.
8.   Limit time of academic on leave are 4 (four) semesters and can not be taken all at once, 2 (two) semesters        maximum in one time.
9.   Student can be able to take academic time on leave have finished lecturing time for at least two semesters.
10. Time in Academic on leave can not be count as study time.
11. Student who is taking academic time off can not follow academic activities, include main exam.
12. After academic on leave is ended, student have to give its proposal to be active again through Dean First        Assistant of Academic Dept, and do re-registration to be active again.
13. Student who have passed the end of academic time off and doing no re-registration will be considered non        active.
14. To be active again, student can only have CSS (in bahasa=SKS) based on Achievement Index on last        semester.
 
   

Examination in one semester shall be held as follows:

  1. Mid-Term Semester will be held after 7 (seven) times of meeting as schedule and supervised by lecturer/teacher on subject.
  2. Final Examination will be held at the end of lecturing time on that semester as schedule.
  3. To maintain good quality of education, The Academic (internal) will held Main Examination for some subjects after Final Examination is being done.
  4. Requirement to follow Final Examination and Main Examination are fulfilled all finance obligation and academic requirement ( mapermaru certificate is one of requirement for student who taking main examination).
  5. Final Exam and Main Exam can be held after Lecturer / Teacher have done 12 meetings.
  6. Student will be able to follow Final Exam and Main Exam after have done 60% of total lecturing meeting for its subject.
  7. Academic shall not arrange Re-sit Examination for Mid-Term Exam, Final Exam and Main Exam, unless for those students who give notification/information letter from the hospital of being stayed for illness or assignment letter from the office before the examination is being held. The permission shall be given to them to follow Re-sit Exam.

  1. Scooring is measurement process of study achievement of student for every subject, in one semester for every study program.
  2. The Person who has the authority to give the score for a student is examinerlecture/ teacher.
  3. Mid-Term Exam Score is mentioned in numbers (example : 70)
  4. Scooring components for Final Exam/Main Exam are: Absence (10%), Quiz/Assignment (10%), MTE (25%) and FE/ME (55%)
  5. Score of FE and ME are mentioned in number and letter with composition as follows :

  6. Study program graduation that mentioned in judicial have achievement as follows:

  1. Purposes of short semester are:
    a. helping student to finish all subject that offer in regular semester.
    b. Helping student who will ended its time study.
  2. Short Semester Time begins after regular semester is done in even or odd semester.
  3. Subjects that being offer are subjects on regular semester. There will be no short semester program for Main Examination Subject.
  4. Requirement to follow short semester are:
    a. Registered on that semester.
    b. Student have taken the subject that is going to be take on short semester with E/D for its score or score is     to be fixed.
    c. Total student who take short semester program should be reached 8 (eight) students to open its class.
    d. Pay short semester fee that being stated by academic.

Thesis order have to be done only for student of Strata One (S.1) study program, where comprehensive examination is for student of Third Diploma (D.3) study program, with requirement to be fulfilled as follows :

a. Thesis
  • Student can take thesis subject after finished its study at least 120 CSS/SKS.
  • Give research proposal to Chief of Major to be approved.
  • Do independent research to have writing material.
  • Follow Thesis Defense after graduate all subjects with minimum ‘C’ for all score.
  • Re-sit Defense for student who failed in first Defense. It shall be held in one month later.
b. Comprehensive Examination
  • Student has to take comprehensive subjects on last semester.
  • Comprehensive subjects are skill subjects that being stated by each of major.
  • Comprehensive Subjects are held by class meeting method with good competency teachers/lecturers while comprehensive examination shall be held by using open defense.
  • To follow comprehensive defense, student have to have graduated for all subjects with score min ' C’.
  • Re-sit Examination for those who failed shall be arranged one month later.
  • Special assignment for Third Diploma (D3) Informatics Management (STMIK) to finish the study, student has to give scientific writing called Information System Project (ISP).
  • Requirement to arrange scientific writing will be announced in specific written information to student.

  1. Academic on leave is taking students to be free of obligation in doing academic activities for one – two semesters that stated by Dean Decision letter.
  2. Student who considered for some reason not be able to follow lecturing activities on that semester, have to take academic on leave.

  1. Student who do not taking its academic time off after passed the end of time of re-registration and academic time off registration, consider as non active student or resign.
  2. Non active is student condition who do not do re-registration or not active on that semester and also not asking for academic time off.
  3. To be active again from non active status, student have to give a proposal to Dean through Dean first assistant of Academic Dept. and pay all compensation fee as follows: ‘DU’, Basic Development Intuition Fee or BBP, Fine as long as non active time (per-semester).
  4. To be active again, Student can only have 12 CSS/SKS on that semester.
  5. Status non-active shall be counted in time of study and max for 2 years or 4 semesters.
  6. Non-active student who pass its time limit of 2 years or 4 semester continuously will declared as person who do not have any relationship in law or anything with campus and there will be no information letter to be given to the person.

  1. Transferred study (study program) can be done internally after student have finished 2 (two) semesters of lecturing time.
  2. Transferred student who being accepted in STIE & STMIK Jayakarta is come from another accredited private college.
  3. Administration requirement will be given when applying as transferred student.
  4. Student who will transfer to another private college, have to give written application to Dean through Dean first assistant of academic dept.
  5. Transferred study from morning time to evening or another can be done only after finishing 2 semester for D.3 study program and 4 (four) semester to program study S.1 and held in every changing semester.

 

  1. Time of study is a measure of time of a student in following lecturing in every level of education with rules as follows :
    a. Time of study of Diploma 3 Education level is 10 semester (5 years)
    b. Time of study of Strata 1 Education level is 14 semester (7 years)
  2. Student, who taking academic time off or on leave, will not be count into its study time for the time being.
  3. Student, who considered as non active student, the time shall be counted in its time study.
  4. Student, who has its time study ended, can apply to continue its time study.
  5. Requirement to apply to continue time of study are:
    a. Apply study time continuation proposal to Dean through Dean first assistant of academic dept.
    b. Complete all compensation during non-active time as rules stated.
    c. Enclosed copy of plan of study card, result of study card, or transcript, and all last payment receipt and     before consider as non active.
  6. Study time extended shall be given from 1 to 4 semesters (2 years).
  7. Student who have has receipt study time extended decision letter, will no longer have another extended time if student can not finish its study during extended time.
  8. Student who its time study has ended and passed 2 years (4 semesters), considered has resigned and will no longer to continue its time study.

  1. AC Lecturers are permanent lecturer of STIE/STMIK Jayakarta that assigned as academic consular lecturer with Dean Decision.
  2. Assignment and Authority of Academic Consular are guiding and helping student to have good lecturing activities in every semester until graduation time.
  3. If the student has some delay or problem in following lecturing activities, the student can consult it with academic consular as scheduled.
  4. On re-registration time, academic consular lecturers have to guide the students in taking its subjects.
  5. Academic consular lecturer will supervise its students in every semester/ level.

  1. Scholarship is intuition fee aid to lack in finance students but have high enthusiasm to continue its study.
  2. Scholarship Aid to STIE/STMIK Jayakarta students come from Foundation, Government and Private sector.
  3. Scholarship Aid is purposed to students who achieve high study performance but have lack in finance (poor family).
  4. Requirement of Scholarship is stated by Dean or Dean first assistant of academic dept through specific information.
 
  1. Since student have become STIE/STMIK Jayakarta’s student, every one of them have to sign statement letter that inform not involve in any kind of drugs as a user or distributor.
  2. In following academic or non academic activities inside or around campus, every student of STIE / STMIK Jayakarta:
    a. Forbidden in taking, using and or distribute drugs.
    b. Forbidden in taking weapon or guns or any kind of sharp weapons that can harm other people.
    c. Forbidden in using sandal and improper jeans or dress up.
    d. Forbidden to smoke during following lecture and or other activities in class.
    e. Forbidden to do an activity that can disturb society and or against susila
  3. Beside above procedure, there are other procedures that suitable with STIE/STMIK Jayakarta’s needs that have to be followed
 

Students of STIE & STMIK Jayakarta who disobey rules and procedures during academic activities, will have its sanction or punishment as follows:

  1. Sanction shall be given to students who cross the line in campus environment. Sanction or punishment will be given in administrative and non administrative.
  2. Administrative sanction are : examination score on canceled, not be able to follow examinations, stated to be not graduate or pass in a subject or deficiency on score and warning letter.
  3. Non administrative sanction or punishments are: skorsing, being expelled as student and being surrendered to the authority to those who involved in legal matter.
